Friday again…..

Another week has just flown by and what was accomplished?   Well…Monday was Memorial Day and we spent it working at the “blue house” as we did most of the other days this week.  We had a young man from the seminary that helped George on a couple of days and I was very thankful for him.  They put up the section of a privacy fence along one side of the backyard, and the ceiling in the dining area.  Zach will be headed back to Kenya in July and is just working to have enough money to live on between now and then.  He’s going back to his country to be a pastor and we wish him well.  He also said he’s going to buy him a cow and a bull once he gets back and when he finally has seven cows he will use those to get a wife.  I know that’s their culture, but honestly, a wife is only worth seven cows?  Again…I wish him the best and hope he finds the perfect woman for him.

Yesterday we were again put on “notice” by Melissa.  Tyler had all the signs of having appendicitis and she was headed to the children’s hospital to have him checked out.  After many test and a cat scan, they decided he did not have appendicitis and sent him home.  When I talked to him last night he said he was still hurting so we’ll see what finally developes.

It has finally warmed up here in central KY and no rain for days.  Of course when we were having rain almost daily in the spring we ask for it to stop…now we want it back.  Can we never be satisfied?

Today is the last day of school for the Crockett kids…the Gabehart kids wrapped up their school year last Tuesday…and they are all looking forward to sleeping in and doing nothing.  Of course, after a week or so, they will all be saying “I’m bored”.  For now, all the ball games are still being played but those end in another week or so … then some will be going to camp or doing some type of fun activity … and then they will try and work in some family vacation time … and the summer will be over and all will be back in school.  Lacey and Chance finished their school year a few weeks ago and they are both working and glad they are also out for awhile…the other grandkids are either working or just being cute and sweet (that’ll be the twins).  Everyone stays busy but we are all blessed with decent health…at least most of the time…and strong minds…at least on some days!

Guess I’d better get myself over to the “blue house” as this is another painting day.  I use to enjoy painting but I’m beginning to think I don’t!  Oh well, it’s going to be nice once we finish it and it’ll be the cutest guest house in Wilmore.

Blessings…….
