Today George and I will celebrate our 48th anniversary by going to Cincinnati. We plan to do a little shopping, eat a good late lunch / early dinner and then attend a Cincinnati Reds ballgame before heading back home. The weather is perfect this morning but it may get a little iffy this afternoon as rain…heavy rain at that…is being predicted. Oh well, we’ll go and have fun and enjoy our day together.
So much has happened these 48 years…most of it has been good while some of it has been not so good…but the Lord has blessed us throughout it all. George is a good man and I thank God daily for him and for him being my faithful and patient husband. I guess when you marry your best friend it does make life a little easier! Happy Anniversary and may we have many more years together. I love you more than I ever dreamed possible…thank you for loving me all these many years.
Yesterday we met our friends from Kansas, Ron and Jean Like, in Frankfort…about 45 minutes from here and 1/2 way to Louisville…for lunch and that was fun. They are such special people and we always enjoy being with them. After our lunch we went on into Louisville so the dentist could set George’s new crown, spent a LITTLE time with Melissa and the kids before heading back home. If you want to know what busy looks like…contact Melissa. She was being pulled five different directions all day long with the four kids and her job. I guess you could say her additional job is being a taxi driver and how well I remember those days.
Time to get going on our morning walk so I’ll be back soon. Again, Happy 48th Anniversary George and for being the godly man that you are. I love you!!!
