There is nothing really happening since we’ve gotten home and I’m almost caught up on my housework so I feel like I need more stuff to do. We were on such a busy schedule the last month or so and now this slower pace makes me feel somewhat uneasy. There’s lots I could be doing, I’m sure, but nothing is jumping out and screaming at me. Oh well, maybe this is just the calm before the next storm.
I have done all the washing and ironing and weeded all the flower beds…the yard looks so pretty with all the flowers in bloom. There’s still no bites on the house but Melissa said she got three calls today so maybe soon!
I’m suppose to sit with Andrew Verble tomorrow evening to give his folks a break, but I have a sore throat so I think George is going to take my place…unless it’s better tomorrow. I’m sure it’s just allergies but I’m not taking a chance on taking something to Andrew. That could be life threatening for him! He is doing much better but still has a very long way to go before he’s anywhere close to normal. He is taliking, has half his skull back in and will get the other half of his skull on the 30th. I don’t think he’s walking, or even standing yet, so he’ll have to learn to do that all over again. He’s lucky to be alive but his life has definitely been altered.
We have had beautiful weather ever since we’ve gotten home. In fact, we aren’t using the air conditioner and haven’t for several days. I love it when I open up the house! Whenever the humidity returns, the AC will definitely get turned back on. Love those lower utility bills, also!
George is working at UofL right now and said it’s OK…he’s working on their computers doing stuff with their web pages so he’s doing the right job! He’s really good at that kind of job and loves doing it! I do miss having him around all day even though we pretty much do our own thing when we are both here. It’s only a temporary job so he’ll be back home all day before long.
Have a good evening and say a kind word to someone to help brighten their day!
Blessings….
