Melissa and her children came to Wilmore on Friday afternoon and it was so good getting to spend some time with all of them.. Byron had gone with some of his friends to watch some car races at the KY Speedway so he wasn’t able to come. The kids are all growing up so fast and seem to really enjoy being together. The weather couldn’t have been more humid with a 93 degrees day, but that sure didn’t stop them from playing ball most of the day. Oh for the energy of the youth!!!
George and I received our once-a-year “Happy Everything” gift from Melissa yesterday…a new flat-screen TV for the kitchen. It is so nice and really has a good picture on it and it takes up a lot less space than the old one. Thanks Melissa and family!!! I enjoy watching the news, or whatever, while cooking so this will be used daily.
Today Madi and Tyler will be going to Spring Mill Bible Camp for the week and that’s always a fun time…this is the same camp we once worked as cooks for the teenagers. They are both excited about going but this will be a really HOT week and the cabins are without AC. Kyle will be here in Wilmore until Wednesday so Ryan will have a few days alone with Mom and Dad…good week for all.
George and I will be going to Burlington on Wednesday morning to help Clark and Vanessa get ready to put the house up for sale…doing some yard work. We’ll be taking Kyle home that morning and picking up Branden so he can also help out with all that his folks need done. Our plans, as of today, will be to return home on either Sunday or Monday…another busy week.
Allison called on Friday to give us an update on the twins. They had their four month check-up and they are both doing great…Turner is 13.7 lbs and 23 3/4″ in length…Neyland is 12.7 lbs. and 23 1/2″ in length. In just four months Turner has more than doubled his birth weight while Neyland has tripled his. She said they are so cute…I already knew that…and Turner is the nosey, busy one while Neyland is more laid back and observant. What a blessing to have two healthy babies!!!
