George and I will be headed to Iowa in the morning (Wednesday) and will be back home either Sunday or Monday. We’re going to help Clark and Vanessa get their yard ready so it will have great curb appeal when they put it on the market later this week, or next. It’s usually cooler in Burlington but not this time. It will be in the high 80’s and low 90’s the entire time we’re there…makes yard work much more fun when you can sweat non stop! We’ll survive and we don’t mind working in the yard…or anything else they might want some help with.  Clark starts his new position in Wisconsin on July 6th, I think. He’s excited about it and looking forward to all the new challenges.
We’ll be taking Kyle back home to Louisville when we leave here and we’ll be picking up Branden to go to Iowa with us so he can have the joy of helping his folks sort through stuff. It’s been a while since we’ve been there and we’re really looking forward to spending a few days with everyone.
Well…the “blue house” is starting to take shape…FINALLY!!! We have two bedrooms completed, except for the carpet, the very small hall and coat closet completed except for flooring, and both bathrooms are completed. The ceiling in the dining room has been installed, sanded, primed and ready for painting next week. Most of the upper cabinets in the kitchen have been reinstalled and we’re almost ready to put down the tile in the kitchen and dining room …once the dining room is painted. That will leave the living room and one bedroom to complete . Once those are done, we can get the carpet installed in the three bedrooms…the living room and hall will have a laminate floor that George will put down. When we get it finished, we plan to rent it out as a “Guest House” since Wilmore has a lot of temporary students and missionaries come through for several weeks at a time and need lodging. We’ll see how all this works out so stay tuned!
Guess I’d better get to finishing the laundry so we can get to packing. I’ll be back next week and please pray for our safe travel, even tempers, and lots of fun memories to share with you later.
Blessings……..
