The temperature remains high, along with the humidity, but we have once more accomplished a lot at the “blue house”. This week I painted the dining room walls and ceiling, got the floor cleaned in there…FINALLY, I got the trim painted and George installed it then I filled in all the gaps, George installed a new back door with the help of Zack, George laid the tile by the back door…which is in the dinig room…and in the kitchen, we purchased a stacked washer / dryer and got that in the house with the help of Tanya and Jerod…that thing was heavy!…purchased the laminate flooring that will go in the living room and the dining room…hope to start installing that this next week or the week after that. That will leave only the living room and one bedroom to complete. Our helper, Zack, also got all the bamboo cut down in the backyard. Of course, it may all be back next week since you can’t really kill that stuff. We’re finally feeling as though we will get the house finished within our lifetime!
Today Tanya ran in the 5K (3.1 miles) race held here in Wilmore and she came in third with a time of 22:27…her personal best. Congratulations Tanya and you make it look so easy! Grayson played in two All-Star baseball games…won one / loss one…and it was so HOT. After the second game, George and I drove over to Midway to check out their arts and craft fair and we saw lots of nice stuff…didn’t buy anything though. Again, it was so HOT. Ryan leaves for Michigan tomorrow for a week of wrestling camp with his high school team…hope it doesn’t kill him. Kyle got his cast off this week and he’s hoping to be back to playing ball this weekend, but we’ll see. Blake will have his All-Star ball game on July 5th. Chance is working in South Carolina and doing well from what we hear through his dad…he went out to see him a few days ago. Clark and Vanessa are visiting Sean this weekend and taking him a truck load of furniture, etc…they really are downsizing! Tyler and Madi had a great week at camp last week and Tyler finished up his baseball season last weekend. The twins continue to grow like weeds and are trying to turn over…especially Turner. Meredith had her dance recital yesterday and she did very well…she’s so graceful with her ballet. As for the others, I guess they are all doing well, staying busy, and out of trouble!
George and I are going out for dinner and that will be a good meal…Bonefish Grill. We don’t eat out near like we use to since I’ve been diagnosed with Celiac…easier to eat at home. But we do enjoy a good meal out occasionally. Thursday night we ate at the neighborhood pot luck, Friday night we ate with some other neighbors at their home, and now we’re going out tonight so that’s three nights of no cooking. Now that’s a good week!!! I just ask what spices, etc. are used and if there’s any doubt I don’t eat it. You can spot gluten in a lot of foods but it’s also hidden in a lot of stuff.
Guess I’d better finish getting myself ready for our date! Have a great worship tomorrow and let’s all continue to count our blessings…they really are abundant. Love to you all.
Blessings………
