Today we have another full day with a rather long to do list. We’ll start this morning by going to the bank and setting up an account for the “G & A Properties”…our guest house…then we’re going to Frankfort to have lunch with Gary and Dianne Smith. The Smith’s are friends from when we all went to Okolona. Gary was one of the ministers on staff there but got canned because of budget cuts and that was a very sad situation. Years ago, the Smith’s has a business that dealt with some sort of bug that would make oil wells produce more so they revitalized that, they are doing well, and are moving to Ft. Worth. I pray they will continue to do well, be happy in their new place, and know they are missed by the friends they left behind.
Of course, no day is complete without a trip to Lowe’s. Our list is long but everything is needed for the “blue house” to get it finished. George will start putting down the laminate flooring this afternoon in the dining room and I will start on the living room…the last room to be completed. The appliances will arrive on Aug.2nd, the carpet on Aug. 9th, and then the decorating will begin in earnest. We can’t begin that task until we see just what we got from Clark, etc. It is looking nice, smells tons better, and we have great hopes of getting it rented for the Equestrian games in September.
Hot weather continues with lots of heat and humidity and now storms. We need the rain, but not the storms. Oh well, the Lord knows what’s needed and I’ll gladly accept what he sends our way.
Time to go so guess I’d better get up and moving. Have a wonderful day!
Blessings……
