What a fun time I had yesterday with Ryan. I called him and ask if he wanted to go to the zoo or to see the new Harry Potter movie. Much to my surprise he wanted to go to the zoo. It was in the 90’s with LOW humidity, so it was a great day to be there. He’s a very intelligent boy and knows a lot about the different animals…he kept me informed with facts he thought I needed to know throughout the zoo. Since we were there mid-day, a lot of the animals were just lying in whatever shade they could find. Ryan will be in the seventh grade when school starts on the 15th. Can’t believe these kids are growing up so fast.
Vanessa and Lacey will be in town tomorrow (Thursday) and she’ll see her surgeon on Friday and we’re all hoping for a good report and, hopefully, a release. They will head back to Iowa on Saturday…quick trip and a long ride! I, also, chatted with Branden yesterday and he’s doing well but still just staying with friends since his folks have moved. Surely he’ll find something more permanent once school starts back up. Sunday was Sean’s 23rd birthday and he said he didn’t have much of a celebration from the Army…no surprises here…when we talked with him. In fact, he bought his own dessert…a brownie from the cafeteria. Sounds like real life to me! If I want a cake, dessert, or whatever I have to make it or buy it. Hard growing up!Â
Isaac and Jenny will get here sometime this afternoon so I need to get to the grocery store. Stay cool and do something just for fun!
Blessings…..
