Here it is another year gone by and we are wondering what all did we do to make it go so quickly. I do hope your day is a great one up in Maine and you’re eating lots of lobster…one of my all time favorite foods.
We continue to enjoy our company and they are so easy to have on board. The kids are so well behaved and are every parents dream children at bed time. I failed as a mother when it came to getting ours to go to sleep at night when they were little and then getting them up when they were teens! I guess I should have read some of those self-help books so we too would have had near perfect kids. They all turned out OK…not sure who’s standards we go by…but we are proud of each one of them…but those years of getting them in or out of bed were something else.
We’re going to meet with our supper club tonight…one of our OLD small group’s that has dissolved…and that will be a fun evening. The group is mostly young couples and small children with a sprinkle of us more mature ones but we blend together very well and we love each of them. I love listening to them telling about their kids or work days…brings back lots of precious memories.
Again…Happy ??? Birthday and you’re catching up fast. Only 4 1/2 more years and you’ll be my age! Love you and looking forward to seeing you before too many more weeks/months.
