Sunday once more?……

This past week was really a busy one for all of us here in Wilmore.  Tanya has started her studies at Vanderbilt and was gone from Monday evening until last night…she got home around 10 p.m…we helped with the four children all week and got them to all the many activities they participate in throughout the week…baseball, dance, orthodontist, and school.  Of course we had the pleasure of having Sugar with us all week and she had decided she does NOT like going over to the “blue house”, for whatever reason.  She’s a sweet dog but not the brightest dog in the pack…just cute and sweet!

Speaking of the “blue house”…it looks fabulous!  We had a open house for the neighbors this past week…those that participated in our Thursday night pot luck meal that we hosted there…and they were all impressed.  Unless you saw the before house and got a good whiff of the smell, you’ll never appreciate what it is today.  It is a fully furnished house, will easily accommodate six, and is a very comfortable environment…got to use some of our items from our home that we don’t use or need, so that’s another plus!  We hope to have a friend, that’s a professional photographer, take photo’s this week so we can post the refurbished house on line.  I can honestly say I’m glad it’s finished and it took us six months of long, sweaty, and often times frustrating hours to complete it…now to see if it all pays off.  Our first renters LOVED it and it wasn’t even completely finished.  I guess you could say it’s like a bed n’ breakfast without the breakfast. We do have yard work to do, but even that is coming along considering all the HOT weather we had this summer.  Our own yard suffered this summer…especially with the tire marks from the tree removal guys…but it will grow back.  George keeps reminding me…it’s like a bad hair cut…give it time and it will grow back.  I’m patiently (?) waiting.  If you’d like to check out our web site for the “blue house” go to www.pleasantviewhouse.com and you can see what it looks like from the front…even that has changed for the better since that picture was taken.

Have a great week…summer has returned to the bluegrass state with a lot of 90’s predicted this week…but fall is not far away.  God has been so good to all of us and I continue to seek His presence in my life each day.  It’s hard, at times, waiting for our “wants” to be fulfilled, or denied, but I will continue to trust our Lord.  Love to each of you!

Blessings…….
