Where oh where does all the time go?…

We’ve had a busy last few days but what a fun time we’ve had.  Last Friday morning we helped our friend, and neighbor, pack up the U-Haul truck and move herself to the Knoxville area…you will be missed Marty, along with her dog Sam.  She’s gotten a job as a counselor for a children’s home…her masters degree…and was thrilled to be moving back closer to family and friends.

Once we finished helping her, we cleaned ourselves up and left home for Atoka around 1 p.m. to go see the twins, along with Scott and Allison, of course.  It was astounding how much the twins have changed since we last saw them in March.  They have the sweetest personalities and look so much a like now.  Neyland is a hunk but both appear very happy and healthy.  What a blessing for all of them!

We left Atoka Monday morning so they could all get back to their normal activities…work and day care…and we  headed to Louisville.  We haven’t seen either Kyle or Tyler play fall ball and they had a back to back game last night so we took advantage of it since we’d be going right by there.  They are both such good ball players…Tyler played catcher and Kyle pitched.  Tyler played his game first with the blazing sun right in his face but he didn’t let that hamper his playing.  He’s not afraid of the ball, or the batter, so he did quite well.  He also got a hit each time he got to bat but was thrown out at first each time, but his team won the game 11-7…or something close to that…so it made for a happy evening. Good job Tyler!  I was once again impressed with you and your natural abilities.

We were surprised when we saw Kyle was the pitcher for his game…he’s also a good catcher…and he did an outstanding job.  HE PITCHED A NO HITTER!!!!! Needless to say, we were all thrilled.  He also got a good hit to left field which drove in 2 runs his first time at bat…second time he was walked…so he, too, had a great game.  I think their score was 11-1 but that may be incorrect…all I know is they won and won BIG.  Way to go Kyle!  I was impressed with your skills.

We just got back from our walk and now it’s time for us to get back to reality…work around our house!  We plan to tackle this pitiful yard and would so love for the drought to end.  Maybe next year we’ll have a pretty yard again.

Have a great week and I know fall is coming…it’s just taking it’s good old time.

Blessings…
