The last couple of days it has been really hot…95 +/- and the humidity jumped on board to help it seem even hotter…this is only 20 degrees above our average. The heat wave will continue through tomorrow…then, fall weather will be here with our high’s only in the 70’s. There’s even some possibility of rain showing up before long. We’re all hoping fall will hang around, the rain will come, and summer will finally give up for this year. Of course, I’m not complaining but it does get a little depressing to see everything so dry and burnt up. Our current plea is…RAIN BABY RAIN!!!
Tanya has had two test this week and did very well on both of them. I think she said that she has a mid-term next week, so she’s really busy. This is a very intense degree but she seems to handle it well along with her family and other nursing responsibilities. She’s one smart cookie!
We’re going to have Kyle, Tyler, and Madi come visit tomorrow and will be here until Sunday afternoon…Melissa and Byron are going on some type of motorcycle ride all day Saturday and Ryan will be in Tennessee at some ROTC outing. We’re looking forward to having them and so thankful the weather will be a lot more bearable.
Also this weekend, the World Equestrian Games will begin and Lexington will be packed with visitors from all over the world for the next seventeen days. The horses are beautiful, the events are challenging, the people are interesting, and it’s all for the “rich and famous”.
We have more guest at the “blue house” tonight and they will be here for the next four days. We also have another family coming on the 9th of October…may include the 8th…and then another family for three days the last of October. We have gotten some good exposure and feel very hopeful this guest house will be successful. It really looks good, if I say so myself, and we are very pleased with the end results after six + months of very hard labor.
Guess I’ll get back to my crocheting…making a baby blanket to sell at our local gift shop as all my previous ones there have sold. Have a great weekend everyone and let’s all say…send RAIN to central KY! I thank the Lord daily for what I have been blessed with and continue to trust God to show me His will for my life. Love to all!
Blessings….
