It’s HOT in KY!!!

We have started out our week with extremely high temperatures and humidity…it’s 99 today and headed upward on Wednesday and Thursday…Tuesday will be just like today at 99 with a heat index of 105-110.  I feel for those that don’t have airconditioners!  Oh how sweet fall will be!

Madi spend the morning with me today and she’s so sweet.  I walked on my treadmill while she played a game on the computer, I got myself cleaned up as she continued playing her game, we ate lunch and then headed to Wal-Mart.  Once we left there, she was ready to go home…I think she wanted to show off her toy she got.  School starts next week so times like today are limited. 

Our big yearly youth rally is this weekend so this will be a busy week for most of our folks.  I’m making cookies, helping with the hospitality/sponsors room and anything else that I find that needs to be taken care of…like the bathrooms.  They can always use some attention.  George will be one of the break-out teachers and I’m sure he’ll do a good job.  He truly is an excellent teacher!

Not much happening and still no bites on the house.  Maybe we aren’t suppose to sell it at this time?  Like I’ve said previously, we’re in no hurry and we don’t have to move.

Vanessa and Lacey were here for several days this last week.  We never saw Lacey as she was with her friends but we did see Vanessa for awhile on Saturday afternoon.  She looks good and said she’s feeling good!  She got a good report from her surgeon on Friday…the reason they were in Louisville…and she comes back in November for another followup exam.  She only needs to wear the back brace if she’s going to be walking for long periods and that’s good since she didn’t wear it much anyway.  The braces are hot and uncomfortable, but if it keeps everything in place, it’s worth the inconvenience.  Lacey will start school next week and we pray she’ll have a good year.  She makes friends fast, so she should do OK.
