Finally “Fall” has arrived

We have finally gotten a break in the heat and humidity…thank you Lord!  In fact, our temperatures are between 35 -40 degrees cooler than what we had just last week so we’re all wearing long sleeve shirts, jeans, and maybe even a jacket.  We had a very little rain in our area on Monday but we’re thankful for what we received…we’d sure like more.  They are predicting that our fall will be somewhat limited because of the lack of rain.  The trees will go dormant and just drop their “brown” leaves and by pass the changing of the colors stage.  That’s sad because the fall trees can be so pretty here.

Not much happening around here now that we don’t have the “blue house” to work on.  I did go over yesterday and washed all the sheets and towels that our last guest used but I won’t clean until next week when our next guest will arrive for just one night.  I could be painting on our bathroom but I’d have to go to Lowe’s to buy the paint and that just doesn’t appeal to me again today.  Oh well, maybe tomorrow or at least one day soon.

We got some sad news Monday and I’m still not accepting it, I guess.  Our very first foster child…we called him Jason since he came to us at 3 days old and was listed as “baby boy”…died a week ago Sunday from a massive heart attack.  He was only 35 years old.  I have no clue as to what his life was like, but he was a beautiful, healthy baby and I pray for his children and family.  One never knows how much life we have but still I found this shocking.

There’s still no buyers for either Mom and Dad’s or Clark and Vanessa’s homes.  Now that it’s getting cold up in Iowa…Clark said you could see your breath this morning…, Clark doesn’t feel very optimistic that it will sell before spring.  Also, Linda and Jim have had no luck in selling their rental house so they will soon be looking for renters.  I guess the housing market continues to be slow no matter what area you live…Texas, Iowa, Tennessee…but we can continue to pray that a buyer will show up at each house and sign that contract.

Guess I’ve rattled long enough.  Have a great day, do some act of kindness without being noticed, and may we all continue to be blessed with good health.  Love to all!

Blessings…….
