I’m not sure but I think life has picked up speed…all my weeks seem to just fly by.  Last week is all but a blur since we got home from Texas on Monday, spent a couple of days playing catch-up, had guest at the “blue house” Wednesday – Saturday morning, and then we headed to Nashville on Saturday morning. Our main purpose for going to Nashville was to attend the wedding for Jessie Black/Johnathan Walker on Saturday night. It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was outstanding! The side perk was getting to spend time with Jim and Linda…along with Jim, Jr., Danna, Zane, Emma, Lawrence, Linda, Buddy, and the Crockett’s. It’s been several years since we have had that many family members all together and it was very enjoyable. Thanks Linda for all the good food and arranging the “get together”.
Today is yet another family member’s birthday. Our son-in-law, Byron…Melissa’s husband…, is celebrating his special day today and we pray he’ll have a very good year…bag a large buck, etc. HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BYRON!!! Glad you’re one of us.
Mom and Dad are in full swing of packing and getting ready to move to University Place. They hope to move on November 15th…have to be out of their house by the 19th…and everyone will be so glad when they are all settled into their new home, all the left over treasures distributed appropriately, and life can once again settle down…just in time for the holidays. They are relieved the house has sold and they can get on with their life.
Today was a full day of washing sheets and towels from the “blue house”…get to do ours tomorrow! We have another guest coming in on Thursday…won’t do the actual cleaning for him until Wednesday. We got word today that we will have a family from Spain staying at the “blue house” the middle of November for about a week. There’s a missionary conference being held in Lexington, November 18 – 21, and this family is coming here for that. So far…knock on wood…everyone that has stayed at our house has LOVED it. We have possibility for a week in December for a family from here…additional family coming in from PA…so we are optimistic this is going to be a successful venture.
No more news so guess I’ll get back to my knitting…been putting it off ’cause I’ve got to rip out a couple of rows since I’m not pleased with how some of it looks. I did finish my sweater…except for the blocking of it…and it turned out good so guess I’ll end up pleased with this scarf. Have a great week and we may actually get some rain tomorrow…along with HIGH winds which we don’t need.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Byron!!! Hope you enjoy many more.
Blessings……….
