We had a fun week-end with Tanya and Melissa and their children…both Daniel and Byron were out of town. Tanya came to Louisville on Friday night and on Saturday we all went to the KY State Fair. We never saw the midway…a very good thing…but got lots of FREE stuff going through the exhibits. There were thousands of people there but we managed to all stay together. Everyone was assigned a partner and they were to keep up with each other along with the group. We also got to see lots of animals and petted quite a lot of them. Over all it was a successful day. There was a slight glitz for me…as we were walking into the fair grounds…after having to walk a LONG way because the lots to the fair grounds were full and no one allowed in by car…I lost part of a filling to a tooth…gum chewing can cause this. It doesn’t hurt so there was nothing lost then or now. I will get it fixed as soon as I’m able to make an appointment.
George had a successful ride that morning…36 miles…so I’m sure he was beat by the time we got back to Melissa’s…we picked up pizza on the way home for the gang to eat. He said he was fine but he was in bed by 8:30. Tanya was at a friends birthday celebration at Ruth Chris’ Steak House so she missed all our fun at the fair. She had a great evening with several friends from Lexington and everyone was treated to this event by the husband of the honoree. What a treat!
I’ve got lots to do and can’t use my sore finger as an excuse any longer. It is sore but seems to be healing well…they cut deep to get the tumor out so that’s why it’s so tender.
Have a great day!
Blessings…..Â
