Can you believe it’s already September? The months are just flying by.Â
 We had a great day yesterday in Wilmore helping celebrate Meredith’s 9th birthday…her real birthday is tomorrow, Tuesday the 4th. We went to a dog show at the KY Horse Park…a beautiful place…and saw lots of dogs and that’s an entirely different culture from us. The people there spend more time, money, energy on their dogs than most people do on human relationships. They are serious! I did hear one man say that his dog will now be just a “backyard dog”…guess it didn’t win any ribbons. Of course, the more ribbons they aquire the more the breeding fee will bring. I’ll just stick to my simple life of loving people…animals are great but people are better!
I met a couple of our soon-to-be neighbors and they were all very nice. We look forward to our move and think we’re going to love living there. Tanya and I also booked 5 rooms at the Asbury Inn for out-of-town guest for our Thanksgiving get together. This is only 1 1/2 blocks from our house and appears to be very nice…couldn’t see any rooms as they were all full. Those coming to Thanksgiving, please let me know if you are interested in having one of these rooms…George sent you an e-mail last week with the details. I can cancel the ones we won’t be needing so let me know.
George is riding his bike in the mayors “Bike and Hike” event today but I’m staying home and walking on the treadmill and then get some stuff done around here. It’s going to be another hot day…in the mid 90’s…and I just might melt out there!
