Still cold…

We’re…all of Kentucky…still hanging in there with the bitter cold and snow flurries, with no end in sight to this craziness.  It’s a grand total of 18 right now and we are expecting a high of a balmy 24…and to think we went to Florida all those winters to get away from this.  We do have snow on the ground…really, it can’t melt when we never get out of the 20’s…but the flurries don’t seem to add to it very much.  Now…have I mentioned how much I don’t like winter!  Spring will be here in just a couple of months and I can’t wait.

The kids in our area finally got to go back to school today and I know the Crockett kids were more than ready.  Being out of school is OK for a while but when they become bored and realize how much longer they’ll have to go in June, they are more than ready to return.  The sad part is that it’s just January and we can do this through March!  Yikes is all I can think to say.

We are still void of renters for the blue house but we aren’t totally discouraged yet…I’m more so than George.  I know we only need to rent it four days a month to break even, but we aren’t currently doing that.  It’s still a great concept but it just hasn’t taken hold yet.  We’ve only been available for renters since September 1, so I’m just going to have to remain patient.

Not much happening around here except trying to stay warm.  Hopefully, Lorin, Patsy, and Victoria made it to Murray OK to visit Patsy’s mother.  Victoria still has the drive to  Wisconsin from there and I’m sure there’s LOTS of snow up that way.  Travel safely each of you as you return to your perspective homes.  Tanya is at Vandy this week…pray for her safety, also…Clark is in South Dakota and it’s terribly cold/snowy/blizzard coming there…at least I think that’s where he is.  All I remember is that he said it was cold with a blizzard coming in this weekend and he’s hoping to get out of there and back home before it arrives.  Vanessa is in Texas visiting her parents so she’s at least warm and doing well. Mom and Dad are doing better after having a cold that had both of them coughing and running low grade fevers…glad they are better.   As for the remainder of this clan…all is well as far as I know.  I don’t ask a lot of questions so I never really know what’s going on…and that’s not always a bad thing!

Have a great rest-of-the-week and let’s all think SPRING!!!

Blessings……..
