We are new home owners!

We signed all the papers today and are now the proud owners of the Wilmore house…206 E. Morrison Street, Wilmore, KY 40390.  We also talked with the man that will be doing the remodeling projects and got that all settled, so all is well with the Ezell’s.  Melissa ask me if this was as emotional as the selling of our house and it was NOT…was for Tanya somewhat but nothing like my experience on Wednesday.  I think it’s like saying “hello” to a new faze of our life while Wednesday was saying “good-bye” to a part of our life. 

We feel certain we will be very happy there and look forward to meeting lots of new people.  I’ve already invited the remodel man, his family, and one of his helpers to have dinner with us once we get half way settled.  They said they’d love it…especially the helper that is a student at the seminary.  I do know that the pace there is a lot calmer than it is in Louisville.  We will adjust to living in “Mayberry” and fit right in before many weeks are over.  I’ve never lived in such a small town and will have to adjust to not having all the conveniences within minutes of the house…aka Wal-Mart! 

We’re expecting Clark and family later tonight and can’t wait to see them.  They seem to be doing well and have really adjusted well to Iowa.

I’ll be glad when Sunday is over since that’s the day the church is having our farewell party…hate those things but would be disappointed if they acted glad to see us go.  We have been with that church since 1964 so we have lots of memories…some great ones and some not so great…and lots of dear friends.  Oh well, a few more tears will be OK and then it’s time with Scott, Allison, and friends from Kansas before we actually load up and move out!
