Today has been the birthday of my very special friend, Frances Richardson. Frances and I have been “bestest” friends for over forty years and have experienced many, many things together. We taught a young ladies class together for over 13 years…had originally agreed to do it for six weeks…, we were on the Smyrna Elementary PTA board for far to many years, taken many couple trips to a lot of fun and exciting places…includes Hawaii….enjoyed being in a care group/bible study group for years, cooked with others at SMBC for several years when we were no longer cooking at home, raised our children together and are now comparing our grandchildren…I won this with the most in numbers and talent! lol HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANCES!!! Love you bunches!
Our renters left this evening and they seemed to have enjoyed their time at the “blue house”…four nights!  They gave some constructive criticism of what needs to be added…pitcher for tea/juice (had one but guess is got lost), since there’s no cable, the DVD player we took over was appreciated (gave them ours since we never use it), and hair dryers. Also, they suggested a pillow topper for the king bed as they felt it was to hard…again, this will be taken care of. If fact, they even ask us about buying it since they are considering moving to this area before to long. Now wouldn’t that be sweet!
Sickness is running through some of the kids right now…Madi and Tyler have the flu…Meredith has strep throat. There is a lot of both of these throughout the state and I’m sure hoping no one else gets it. Madi even had the flu shot, so even those don’t work at times. This creates an even busier time for the momma’s of these children. Get well soon all of you!
Kyle will be wrestling in the regional tournament this weekend and I’m sure hoping he’ll do well and remain free of any injuries. Should he win this tournament, his next step is the state tournament. Jerod will be in an academic tournament this same weekend and we wish him well, also. He came in second in his last tournament after having to go to six extra questions before he missed one. Here’s hoping you’ll do well this weekend Jerod…and I know you will.
Snow is once more falling and we’re suppose to get 4-5 inches by tomorrow night. All I can say is YUCK, YUCK, YUCK. This past summer was much hotter than usual and now this winter is much colder with a whole lot more snow. Global warming????
Have a good rest-of-the-week and continue to think SPRING. God is faithful and loves his children, so I won’t really complain by all he gives us. But I really do like the warmth so much better than the cold.
