We have sunshine…

Yes…we have sunshine but the warm temperatures have gone elsewhere.  It’s only 34 and it’s almost noon.  Oh well, spring is coming as some of the early flowers are popping up, but not ready to bud just yet.  We’re starting to see some flowers at Lowe’s so it won’t be long before I can put some out in the yard.  Come on Spring!!!

George and I seem to stay busy and for that we are thankful.  This past Saturday George helped yet another young couple move to the new seminary town houses and I joined them for the “after” breakfast.  Three of our neighbors have moved over there and we’re anxious to see who’s going to fill their spot.  We love our sweet neighbors!!!

After that we went to the three Crockett boys basketball games…starting at 2 p.m. and we finally made it back home around 8:30 p.m.  We stayed in Lexington all that time since there was never much time between games.  We filled the day the three different ballgames, a visit to the mall, and dinner at Red Robin’s.  It was a fun time but we were glad to be home…finally!  Then on Sunday we went to early church before heading to Frankfort, KY to watch Tyler wrestle in the state tournament.  That was a very long day…got most of my book read…but it was fun being with him and Melissa.  He’s a good wrestler and came in second in is weight/age bracket.  We ate at a  Cattleman Steak house before heading for home.  Again, we got home around 8:30 p.m.  I believe exhaustion has set in and we were in bed before 9:30 … a rare thing for us.

Monday morning George had a basil cell cancer removed from his forehead and that ended up being another all day event.  The doctor takes out the cancer…we go away and return in 1 1/2 hours…process had to be repeated.  Again we returned in 1 1/2 hours to have it repeated for the third time.  The cancer is now finally all gone! After 18 stitches and a big patch on the side of his head, we head for home…finished my book on this day.  George is doing well and we are thankful to be rid of that.  He’s had these before and they are all caused from the sun!  Hopefully, he won’t ever have them again.

I’ve been working most mornings on getting my lessons together for the ladies retreat with the OCC women.  It’s coming together pretty well…I’ve got two of the three lessons almost done…and was told yesterday that I’m to do the communion remarks on Sunday.  Hope they don’t think this is a “Ann Ezell” show.  My intent is to just praise and honor God…nothing more.  Keep praying I’ll have something worthwhile to share with them.

Laundry is ready  to come out of the dryer.  Have a great rest-of-the-week.

Blessings………
