Quick note about the Gabehart’s…

We got to spend a couple of hours with Melissa yesterday and it was so good to be with her, Madi, Kyle, and Ryan. We didn’t get to see Byron or Tyler as Tyler was playing a preseason game in a different part of Louisville. During that time we were at Kyle’s game, we got to watch him pitch two innings and he did a GREAT job…they only played four innings before time expired and Kyle’s team won 18 – 0. Kyle struck out once, got walked once, and got a double when he hit a ball over the center fielders head. Over all he felt good about his game and is looking forward to a great season with his middle school team…starts little league once, or before, this season ends. He’s really found his niche with both baseball and wrestling. Way to go Kyle!!!

Madi was busy being the sweet little girl she is. She enjoyed drawing a sunset picture on the sidewalk with her chalk before headed to the play ground…she’s very artistic!!! She’s getting so big and growing up far to fast. Love you sweet girl.

Ryan had spent most of his day in Indiana at a ROTC drill match and the Seneca High School team came in FIRST. Melissa got to attend most of that competition before heading home to get Kyle. She said that Ryan and his teammates were very impressive and she was amazed at how difficult it all was. Guess all those 5:30 a.m. practices before school paid off. Congratulations Ryan and I look forward to getting to see you at the family session.

Melissa stays busy with her job and even got a signed contract processed just before Kyle’s game. With the different schedules of the kids and her job, there will never be any grass growing under her feet! Proud of you Melissa.

Lacey will have her surgery in the morning (8 a.m. CST) and we are all praying for a quick recovery. She will be extremely sore since they will be removing some of the upper ribs through her arm pits. Please keep her in your prayers.

We are going to go visit my folks on April 1-8…this includes our travel days…and we’re excited about seeing them. They continue to do well and looking forward to their birthdays and anniversary in the next few weeks.  I pray that one day both of them will say they LOVE their “condo”…Mom still longs for her house…but I’m not sure that will ever happen.

All the rest of our family remains good, as far as I know.  We all stay busy and, as long as we remain healthy, we can all say that life is good!  Time for our small group meeting so guess I’ll close.  Have a good week, pray for Lacey, and I’m loving the sunshine and warmer days…even though it’s going to get cold at the end of this week.  The blue house is rented for this week and we’re picking up more dates all the time…Thank You Lord.

Blessings……
