What a wild night last night. We were awaken around 2:30 this morning with the tornado sirens blaring and a lot of booming and flashing all around. That went on for about an hour and then was repeated again around 4:30 and 7:00. Currently it’s only raining and should continue for the next several days…got over an inch of rain last night. Gotta love spring time in central KY!
We had planned on going to Louisville today to watch Kyle play a double header baseball game and Tyler to play one baseball game…guess that’s not going to happen now. This past Thursday we went to watch Ryan in a drill event with his high school ROTC team. The kids all did a great job and you can tell they have practiced a lot and were very precise with all their movements. They will be going to Daytona Beach, FL. this coming Friday for their big competition and I know they will do well. Ryan plans on joining up with the Marines right out of high school…two more years…and hopes to make that his career. Good luck, Ryan, and to all your team members.
Tomorrow is Easter and this will be the first time in years that NO eggs will be hidden. That makes me kind of sad since that means the grandchildren are all growing up so fast. Of course, we will get to hunt eggs with the twins at some point, but unfortunately not this year. With all the rain, and predicted rain, it wouldn’t be a good time for hunting eggs anyway. Regardless, Happy Easter everyone!
Got to go eat some breakfast and get going for my day. Tomorrow is not only Easter but my dad’s 92nd birthday. I pray it will be a joyful day for him and for mother and just maybe the Easter Bunny will find them…sorry but I’m not that bunny.
Blessings….
