Happy Mother’s Day to you, mother, and to all the mother’s that are reading my blog. Motherhood is a bag of mixed emotions, events, and requires constant love and patience. I love being a mother but there were days I felt so defeated and wasn’t sure I wanted to be one anymore. But, with God as my helper, comforter, and constant source of strength, I survived and didn’t kill or give any of them away. Thanks to all my kids for loving me in spite of all the MANY mistakes I made as we made this journey together. I love each of you.
We had a good time at the derby party yesterday afternoon and saw so many old friends…the biggest party I think Mary and Gene ever had…and everyone ate far to much. Being gluten free keeps me from the dessert table but I do OK at the food table…lots of shrimp, chicken, and salads. Great time and many of those we won’t see again until next derby day. The derby race was exciting and the horses were beautiful, but that just didn’t have the same appeal to any of us as the food table did. Thanks again Mary and Gene!
Have a great day and we’re praying the rain will taper off for a while…suppose to rain every day but one for the next two weeks. All this rain sure makes things green and grow fast but, it also fills up the creeks and rivers that want to get in people’s house. Enjoy your time of worship today and being with God’s children.
Blessings…….
