Thursday

Today we went to Louisville and I had my crown seated and, also, got a hair trim.  I no longer look like a shaggy dog!  YEAH!!!

We brought Ryan home with us and he’ll be here until Sunday.  He’s probably going to be bored to death since we aren’t very exciting, but he’s here regardless.  His Papa thinks he’s going to be thrilled to help him do more yard work.  Of course, we’re expecting some heavy rain tonight so that ought to keep them out of the yard tomorrow.  George has the yard looking really nice and he’s worked really hard getting it that way.  Once he gets all the weeds, etc. out surely he won’t have to work so hard to keep it pretty.  There were a lot of vines and undergrowth that had taken over one section of the back yard but that’s just about all gone now thanks to George and Jerod.  The garage/barn is being restored currently and that will be really nice to have completed.  We may have to wait until spring to get it painted but I’m hoping not.  We continue to chip away at all the things needing to be done but it will probably be a year or more before we get it all done.  Our home is very livable currently so we don’t feel pressured to get it done today.  We just know we want it done eventually!

Carter and Lori got married this afternoon and we wish them a very happy life together.  They just went to the courthouse and got married but won’t go on their honeymoon until January…Hawaii and Tahati!  They said they didn’t want a “big” wedding since this is a second marriage for both of them and they would just go get married when they felt the time was right.  So I guess today was the right day!  Congratulations to you both!

Melissa has taken over the ladies class Frances and I had in Louisville for the last 12 + years and she’s doing a Beth Moore series called “Loving Well”.  It got off to a great start last night….38 women in attendance…several were not from the Okolona family…and more are coming starting next week.  I did this study back in the spring and I really enjoyed it.  Beth Moore is a fantastic teacher and has a true heart for God.  Take one of her classes whenever you have the chance, you won’t be disappointed.

Tanya and Daniel have company coming in tonight from Indy and they’re looking forward to having them.  They were neighbors/friends when they were in Indy and have maintained that friendship throughout the years of seperation.  They also have four children so there will be eight kids with the oldest only ten (that’s Jerod).  The noise level ought to be high but they will all have fun just being together.  Since company is coming, the toilet in the master bath decided to start leaking today but George is hoping he has it fixed.  It caused a big water spot on the ceiling below it so that’s another project that will have to be fixed.  Owning a home is a never ending expense!  They do have a lovely home and Tanya is getting it fixed like she likes it so it is so cute!

Well, here it is Friday and I could not get the above message to post last night.  Don’t you just love these computer?

We had some really strong storms come through last night but nothing distructive as far as I know…Louisville had tornado’s according to the TV news.  Hope no one was hurt but the damage can sure be overwhelming.

Got to get busy and start my day.

Blessings…..
