We had two days last week that were warm but the other days this entire spring have been cold and wet. We feel like we’re living in Seattle and not in central KY. We are running 30 degrees colder than we should for this time of the year. Therefore, someone please hit the heat button and let’s get on to some sunshine.
This is Tanya’s last week at Vandy but she won’t be finished with the nurse practitioner program until the last day of July…graduates on August 6 (I think). This week she had to go down a day early and each day goes until 6 or 7 p.m….gotta cram everything in, I guess. She’s done extremely well but will be glad to be finished and her boards passed.
We’re looking forward to going to Alabama to see Carter and Lori on the 27th so that Carter and George can go on a two day fishing trip. Hope they catch a big one! Lori and I will find something to do, but not sure just what at this point. On our way home on Monday the 30th, we’ll swing by Memphis to see Scott, Allison, Turner, and Neyland. We’re excited about that since we haven’t seen the boys since February and they are now walking and talking. This will be a busy few days but we are really looking forward to seeing both families.
Not much happening currently but we do seem to stay very busy. We have had several families at the blue house this month so that takes up time cleaning and washing linens, along with doing this on a limited basis here at our home. So far we have received nothing but complimentary comments about the place and we are so thankful for that…we’re even having repeat customers. I have found a lady that will be willing to clean, etc. for when we’re going to be out of town and the “blue house” will have guest coming and going. So far we have managed on our own, but when we head to Florida next winter she’ll be in higher demands.
Got to get back to my knitting…started a sweater for fall yesterday…or back to my Francine Rivers book. George got a call from a friend about a faucet problem so he’s gone to help her diagnose the problem and hopefully fix it.
Please keep Vanessa in your prayers as she really has not felt well for some time…Clark is in Pittsburg for the next two weeks so that creates additional stresses and concerns. Allison is grieving over the loss of her dog, Jazz, that she’s had for approximately 17 years…she had to be put down because she was in really poor health…but it’s hard to say goodbye to a dog you’ve loved for so long. All others are doing OK, as far as I know, but the ending of the school year makes for hectic days and keeps everyone going in lots of different directions. Life is busy but I’m so very thankful for it and the good health we are blessed with.
My last comment is…come on Spring…it’s time to shine!
Blessings……
