We will be headed out in the morning for Birmingham to spend a few days with Carter and Lori. We’re really looking forward to seeing them as it’s been quite a while since we’ve been together. George and Carter will be going on a fishing outing on Saturday/Sunday and that should be a fun time for them. Lori and I will find something to do, I’m sure, but I really don’t need to be entertained. Just visiting is OK with me. Then on Monday, we will head for Memphis to see Scott, Allison, Turner, and Neyland. This will be a fun couple of days, too, as the twins are now walking and talking! They have changed so much since last February and we can’t wait to spoil them a little.
I got several sections of the back yard fence painted yesterday…mid 80 temperatures…which made me one tired girl last night.  This is looking so nice, and really needs to be done, but it’s sure something I don’t like doing. If the rain would stop, I might get it finished…maybe next week.
We’re going to the elementary school this morning to watch Grayson in the second round of the talent show competition…he’s in a jump rope routine again this year. He’s trying really hard to make it to the finals, has practiced a lot, so we’ll be there cheering him on. All the kids are wrapping up the end of their school year and they are all very ready for the summer vacation to begin.
Guess I’d better get a few things accomplished before heading to watch Grayson. I know LL&B have had a good time in Abilene and will be headed home soon. Of course, it’s always good to get back home and sleep in your own bed. Be safe and stay cool…heard it’s been hot in Abilene and going to be even hotter! Gotta love this spring weather and so looking forward to what summer will be bringing. I feel so sad for all the people affected by the recent tornadoes and I pray for them daily. May the people find comfort in just knowing others care.
