Can I remind you all again just how quickly June has come and gone? This month has had lots of celebrating completed with many birthdays, our anniversary, a visit with very special friends, and lots and lots of baseball games. Now we’re on to July and it doesn’t appear that it will be much calmer. We are thankful we have so many to once again celebrate birthday’s with and ball games to watch. Life is good from my perspective! Can’t forget to throw the “blue house” in the mix of all the fun activities…have 18 confirmed days booked so far for July. SWEET!!!
Summer is going to return for this holiday weekend so I guess the old AC will have to come back on. The Crockett’s are having AC problems and it won’t be fixed until Saturday…going to need a new compressor to the tune of $1500 – $1800. That seems like a ton of money until you’re sweating bullets! It’s still a ton of money but we’re so use to the AC that it’s worth it…I guess. I failed to mention that we also attended a funeral at the Crockett’s on Tuesday when Meredith found her beloved pet rabbit, Bella, dead. That was so shocking and heartbreaking for her. She had also lost her pet lizard earlier in the week that had also died. Sugar, their dog, better watch out! It is so sad to lose a pet and Meredith is such a lover of any and all animals but she’s doing OK and coming to grips with it. I’m sure there will be NEW additions to their family within the very near future.
We took the Crockett kids to the Louisville zoo on Tuesday…after the funeral…and met up with the Gabehart’s and had a great time. It was a good day to be there so half of Louisville joined us so we could all have fun together. We brought Madi back with us and she’s a sweet girl. She’s quite the talker when it’s just us, but appears to be shy around others. She and her Papa are making something for her to take home…a plaque…and she is liking that. Meredith spent the night here with her last night and that went well. We’re taking the five kids on a hike today…had to wait for the weather to get back in the high 80’s to decide to hike…and I just hope we’re up to the challenge. Madi will go home on Saturday when we go see Tyler play ball and then celebrate Kyle’s 15th birthday…another fun weekend. Can’t believe Kyle is 15 already!!!
Need to get busy and off here. Love to you all. Pray for Clark and Vanessa as they are moving to Racine tomorrow and I know that this move will be with mixed emotions. They have not sold their current home and Lacey will be living there until she finishes school or it sells. I pray they will adjust to Racine quickly and that new friendships will be made easily.
Blessings….
