Happy Birthday Jerod…

Today is Jerod’s 14th birthday and he’s out celebrating this morning with his dad and papa…fishing.  Jerod loves to fish and this is the perfect way for him to celebrate.  Of course, the rest of us will have to wait for them to get home to join in the fun…gonna have a hamburger cookout.  Yummy.   Happy Birthday Jerod!!!  You’re a great young man and we’re so thankful for you.

We finally got about 5 minutes of rain yesterday and that’s a first for many weeks now.  Of course, you Texas folks don’t have any sympathy since it’s getting into months since you’ve had rain.  We were thankful for that much but would love to have a nice “all day” gentle rain but guess that’s not on God’s plan for now.  The spring rains seemed as though they’d never stop, but they did, and now we are back to begging for it to come back.

Melissa came to Wilmore yesterday to get Kyle…he’d been here visiting since Saturday but we actually saw very little of him since he stayed at the Crockett’s the entire time…but it was good seeing her, Tyler, and Madi.    Ryan chose to stay home and sleep.  Madi will be back on the 17th to attend an art camp and that will be fun for her and Tyler is still wanting to come for a few days before school starts back up.  When you plan ball all summer that makes it a little difficult but we’ll do our best.  School starts back in August so time is running out!

We will be glad for August to arrive because that will mean Tanya is finished with her nurse practitioner degree at Vandy.  Her pinning ceremony will be August 6th and we’re going to be there to celebrate this BIG  accomplishment.  She’s done extremely well and has managed this well, even though it was difficult and overwhelming at times.

This Saturday is our Wilmore town yard sale and we are going to join in…have I ever told you how much I HATE yard sales?  Well, I do but George thinks we have some “treasures’ to sale and people will be flocking to our yard to buy them.  If they are such “treasures” why are we going to sale them?  Oh well, I guess it has been good to “downsize” even more and to help Goodwill to prosper.  But, let me remind you,  I HATE YARD SALES!!!  I do not go to any so why would I want to have one.  All the people just want to nickle/dime you to death and if they are that poor/cheap I say…just take it!  OK…I’ll get off my soapbox…for now.

Need to go walk before it gets even hotter.  Again…Happy birthday, Jerod.

Blessings….
