We have been home for a week and it has just flown by. This whole month is going to be a blur with all on our schedule.
We went to Louisville last night and enjoyed dinner with Melissa and the kids…Byron was still at work. They are so sweet and each child changes between our visits. Melissa is getting ready for her Thanksgiving with Byron’s sisters and their families on Thanksgiving day so she’s in the cleaning mode on high gear.Â
We met with our small group after our dinner and had a great Bible study. They are all so special to us and we had 12 in attendance last night. We never know how many will be able to make it but last night most showed up. Listening and watching people drink in what they are learning from our study is so exciting. Sure beats sitting in a pew looking at the back of someones head! They are growing in their faith and are truly seeking to know more about God.
We will be going to Cincinnati early Friday morning to help tell others about what the Crossroads Missions is all about at their convention…this is the group we have gone to New Orleans with on our last two trips. We are suppose to be there until Sunday afternoon but Saturday evening we will head to Louisville to help Exie and Gilbert Dadisman celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary…now that’s committment! After that party we will return to Cincinnati. We should be back in Wilmore late Sunday night.Â
Scott and Allison will be here Wednesday, unless they have changed their plans, and all the others will be here on Friday. There’s 25 on the list so we should have a full house. This house is small so pray we’ll have pretty weather so the kids can play outside before it gets dark or too cold. Then on Saturday night the 24th, we will go back to Louisville and get a motel room so we can leave out at 5 am Sunday morning for New Orleans…with a team of 6-8 other people connected with the Crossroads team. We return home on Thursday night (the 29th) late. We may get a room again if we’re too bushed to head for Wilmore after a 12 + hour ride back to Louisville. Needless to say, this is a lot of travel and wear and tear on these old bodies. Therefore, we covet your prayers that we stay well and patient with each other.
We’re going to hang some pictures so guess I’d better go and supervise! George always loves this!
Have a good night and I’ll be back soon. Love to each of you reading this “Grandma’s Blog”
Blessings……
