Gonna be a busy week…

This week we have the pleasure of having Madison with us so that she can attend the art camp held by our friend Tim Vetter.  She’ll have a pottery class every morning and she’s looking forward to that along with seeing his baby goats again.  This is also Tanya’s last week of her clinical obligations and I know she’s glad of that…her required work is finished!  Now the pinning ceremony, the boards, and she’ll be a Nurse Practitioner.  Congratulations to her!!!

We, along with the Crockett’s and the Gabehart’s, are all going to Cincinnati next Sunday evening for a Reds ballgame.  We were suppose to go to Kings Island (amusement park) on Saturday but I’m not sure that’s still in the plans.  I know these OLD folks are NOT going there…too HOT, can’t ride the fun rides, and makes for a really long day to just walk from one shady spot to the next.  I do think the younger ones will be going at some point.  Cincinnati is only a couple hours from here so we’ll head home after the game while the others stay there.  The Crockett’s will be going to Washington, D.C. for vacation and the Gabehart’s will be camping somewhere in that area.  Should be a fun day!  Watch for us on ESPN because the game was changed from the afternoon to a 8 p.m. game…a blessing in disguise because of the heat.

Clark and Vanessa have gotten moved and are still in the process of getting settled.  Vanessa has been somewhat under the weather since getting there, so it’s going a little slower than they had hoped.  We have plans to go see them sometime in August, but not sure just when, and we’ll help them if they still need it.

Carter and Lori and still trying to sell their home in Birmingham so they can get moved and settled in Dallas before winter.  Of course, the winter there won’t be to bad and the heat of summer has been awful so I guess it’s good they are still in Birmingham…not cool there either.  Actually, it’s not been cool in most of the U.S. lately.  Still beats the cold of last winter!!!

Time to get off here and head to worship.  All the Crockett’s and Gabehart’s will be here for lunch so we’ll have a busy afternoon.  The kids love being together and we’re thankful for these times available…just wish all the others could join us.

Stay cool as possible, find something good about each day, and have a great week.

Blessings….
