It’s HOT in the Bluegrass State…

George and I were both busy this morning and not able to walk until around 10 a.m. and I thought I’d die before we got around.  The heat wasn’t to bad because we did have a breeze occasionally, but the humidity was a killer.  The air was so thick and it made our walk almost unbearable.  We did manage to finish but I haven’t been worth a lot since we got home..

We picked up Madi from her art camp around 11:30 and headed over to the Crockett’s.  Since Tanya is working today….only one more day after today and she’ll be finished…we decided to take all the kids to McDonald’s for lunch.  It’s to hot to be outside so we got a movie from the Red Box and that’s what we’re currently doing.  The boys have a tennis class tonight so we’re conserving their energy.

Madi is really enjoying her pottery camp and her instructor said she’s doing really well.  We’ll see the finished objects on Friday but I know she’s made three bowls, a fish, salt/pepper shakers, and something else so far.  Pretty good for just two days.

We will be going to Cincinnati on Sunday evening and again on Thursday of next week to watch the Reds play ball…hope they win.  So far every time I’ve been to one of their games they have lost.  It’s still fun to go and the people watching is well worth the price of the ticket.

Then on August 4 (Thursday) we will be going to Nashville to get ready for the big pinning celebration for Tanya.  We’re going down early to visit with Linda/Jim and then on Friday the Arnett’s are hosting a family barbeque so we can all be together.  This should be fun and I’ll love seeing everyone again.  We won’t get to Nashville until late Thursday since we have people checking into the blue house that afternoon and we want to welcome them.  We do have a lock box we use when we absolutely have to do so, but we like not to use it on their first stay.  Rather impersonal!

Gotta to get off here and take care of some rental business.  Got another booking for mid September.  Stay cool and drink lots of fluids.

Blessings….
