Well…our week with Madi is over and she is now at home with her family. We had a great week with her, she loved her pottery camp and hopes to return next year, but she was missing her family and was ready to go home.
We left home this morning around 7:45 so we could be in Bardstown, KY by 9 in order to watch Tyler play in two ball games. Byron was there with Tyler, but Melissa was working and the older boys were sleeping, and to say it was HOT is putting it mildly. We were all very thankful the games were played so early and not mid-afternoon. It’s in the mid 90’s with the usual high humidity, so it’s rather awful out there.
Tanya has finished her requirements for her degree this past Thursday and we are all so proud of her. Her last day was a day of her not feeling very well…she thought she was having a bad allergy issue. Well, on Friday she goes to her doctor to be told she’s got walking pneumonia…what a way to finish up a long, difficult year! She’s better today and now looking forward to their family vacation next week.
We, the Gabehart’s, and the Crockett’s are meeting in Cincinnati tomorrow afternoon for dinner and then we’re all going to a 8 p.m. Reds ball game. After the game is over, the Crockett’s will head for Washington, D.C., the Gabehart’s will go camping, and the Ezell’s will go home…this is a good plan for each family! Should be a fun day but, as usual, it’ll be a really hot one. I pray we’ll all survive the heat and the attitudes that goes with being really hot at the end of a long day. Gotta love these memories we’ll make. I just wish all the family could be there so we could make lots of memories for ourselves and all those around us.
Got to get to the laundry as I’ll have lots to do tomorrow and Monday. We currently have 5 guys at the blue house…groomsmen for a wedding…and they will leave while we’re at church in the morning. Then we’ll have to get the blue house clean, linens done, and ready for a family to check in by 3 p.m. before we can head to Cincinnati. No one is using the house from noon Monday to 3 p.m. Tuesday, so that will be a little less rushed getting everything done AGAIN for a group coming in for four days…another group right behind them so this will be a busy next week. It’s a easy house to clean but it does take time and keeping up with the towels, etc.
Have a great Lord’s day, stay cool, and let’s all pray for a break from the heat that has gripped our country. Also, please pray for all the families affected by the tragic events in Norway. Evil still raises it’s ugly head and the innocent are affected for the remainder of their life. Love to you all!
Blessings….
