Not much happening here…

Here it is 9:30 p.m. and we just got back home from our walk.  George has been taking a friend most mornings to have a radiation treatment and by the time he gets home it’s just too hot.  Therefore, we’ve been doing these late evening walks and they aren’t so bad.  Of course, the mornings aren’t so thrilling either…guess walking in the heat just isn’t my cup of tea!  Oh well, we do it, always glad we did it, and hopefully our hearts are glad we’re doing it.

Yesterday we took a quick trip over to Louisville to go to a visitation for a friend that had died on Friday.  Funerals are like a big homecoming…that’s about the only time we see anyone any more…so these visitations are really fun.  Our friend, Jack Pogue, had been in poor health for years and his heart finally just gave out on him.  He died in his truck all alone, which is kind of sad, but it’s probably the way he would have chosen.

We’ll be going to Nashville Thursday evening and I’m looking forward to being with all the different family members there.  Thanks to Linda and Jim, we’ll all have a meal together on Friday evening and I know for certain it will be delicious.

We made our plans for Florida today and the deposit will be mailed in the morning.  We’re going back to the Englewood/Port Charlotte area and will be there from Dec. 20 – Jan. 31.  We had hoped to go Jan – Feb but we couldn’t find a place…waited too long to get serious about going, I guess.  Regardless, it will be good to be there, relax, and spend time on the beach.  We’re hoping to have our family Christmas on the 17th but haven’t heard from anyone if that’s going to work out.  Regardless, we will be on the road on Dec. 21 and I’m already looking forward to it.

I’ve cooled off enough to go get my bath so I’m getting off here.  Hope all reading this “grandma’s” blog are happy, healthy, and loving the Lord.

Blessings….
