Our Friday Thanksgiving

What a wonderful day we had!  All our kids… less Clark, Vanessa, Lacey, and Sean…were here today to help us celebrate Thanksgiving.  Lawarence, Linda, and Buddy were able to make it, also, so we had a full house…24 total.  Sean is out of the country doing the army thing while Clark had to work today which kept them from coming.  Needless to say we had lots of delicious food with plenty to go around.  Thanks to great daughters and daughters-in-law for making it all come together.

Tomorrow Scott and Allison will head for home and we’ll get ourselves ready to go to New Orleans.  After that trip we’ll begin getting ourselves ready for Christmas.  Hopefully, all the kids will be able to make it for that celebration.  Regardless, we will enjoy those that come and miss those that can’t.  Distance does become a problem!

I continue to count my blessings and family is certainly at the top.  I enjoy our time of being together and making memories to talk about for years to come.  God has been so good to me…to all of us…and I am humbled by it all.

I have finally gotten my voice half way back and feel so much better than I did yesterday.  The sore throat I had on Monday turned into a total loss of my voice, low grad fever, and feeling really yucky.  Today I feel great and can talk at least part of the time.  Tomorrow I should be even better.

Hope all of you  reading this had a good Thanksgiving and took a few minutes to count your blessings and to realize all you have to be thankful for.  Thanks to all of our brave men and women that are helping to keep us free…we owe you!  Best of all, thanks to Jesus for his saving grace!

Blessings….
