We are anxious for Scott, Allison, Turner, and Neyland to get here this afternoon and looking forward for the “spoiling” to begin! All the Gabehart’s and the Crockett’s are coming for dinner so, today will be a GREAT day…we’re sorry the others are not able to join us but we know they will be here in spirit. I’m having turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, broccoli, salad, rolls, and dessert for dinner so we should have plenty to eat. I’ve had that turkey in the freezer for awhile and this seemed the perfect time to cook it with 18 here for dinner. Hopefully, everyone will find something they like and not go away hungry!
Today is quite a bit cooler…in fact I turned the AC off this morning…and for that I am very thankful. I love having my windows and doors open and using just the ceiling fans. It’s only getting up to 82 today and that’s the coolest we’ve had for weeks. We are NOT through with HOT just yet, but I’ll take the break we are currently being blessed with.
The Crockett’s children started back to school yesterday and from all reports, it was a good “back to school” day. The Gabehart kids start back next week…not sure when Lacey and Chance start back in college. This is about the earliest they’ve ever started back to school…guess they are getting all the snow days in…and will get out earlier in the spring if there are few, or no, snow days.
Guess I’d better get to dusting, etc. and be ready for everyone when they arrive. Have a great weekend…I won’t be back on here until next week…and enjoy the blessings given so abundantly by our Lord and Savior.
Blessings….
