Busy Monday in New Orleans

For the better part of today we went looking for a new facility for this mission to move to at the end of this year.  We found several possibilities, but they all require a lot of work in order to get into them.  One was an old warehouse not far from the area they are building homes, one was a funeral home that must have been gorgeous at one time and in the same area,  another was a nursing home, and the last one was a school/church.  The last one has the least amount of damage done to it but it’s not close to the area where they are building and wanting to influence the people on a spiritual level.  Of course, cost will be a factor…not only to purchase but to make it livable and usable.

New Orleans still has so much damage to be repaired or torn down.  There is construction going on in every area of town.  I get depressed  I come here and see this devastation!  To me it’s like beating a dead horse…you’ll never get it all done!  Pray for the people here that are really trying to get beyond this and still living in the FEMA trailers.

I finally got all the data entered that they wanted me to enter and I’m glad of that…I started this job while in Cincinnati last week.  That’s a boring job but it needed to be in their data base system, and I had the time to do it, so now we are all happy to have it finished.

Have a great week, fight the crowds at the malls, and enjoy the season.  We’ll be here until Thursday so that’s on my schedule for next week.

Blessings……
