Going to Natural Bridge today…

George and I will be going to Natural Bridge State Park later this morning and get a little R&R for today..actually we have a one night gift certificate that will expire Saturday so we’re using that.  Since we’ve had this certificate for a year we  thought we’d better use it or we’ll loose it!   We’ve been there several times before and enjoy the beauty there…we usually get to hike in the woods, etc., but with all the rain this morning…and more predicted for all day…I imagine we’ll just relax, which is not a bad idea!   I’m currently reading a good novel so maybe I’ll finish it!

I was awaken this morning to the tornado sirens going off…George was already up and it was only 6:20 a.m….so our day started out with a bang!  We had lots of lightning, rain, and warm temperatures but nothing else which makes me very thankful.  It moved through fast and now the cold front has arrived along with more rain…wish we could send some of it to Texas.

Wednesday morning we will be headed out for Racine, WI. to visit with Clark and Vanessa for a few days.  We’ve never visited that area and hope to see what’s there.  George and Clark are hoping to fish a little in Lake Michigan but we’ll see if that happens…depends on weather, etc., I guess.  It’s about a 9 hour drive from here, so that within its self will make for a fun day…especially driving through Chicago!  Regardless, we’re looking forward to being with them.

We made another quick trip to Louisville yesterday.  A special friend’s father died unexpectedly so we went to see her and all of the family.  George knew the deceased man from Ford’s but I did not know him…he was our age!  I think we’re at the age where we’ll go to lots of visitations/funerals of people our age!  A very sobering thought.

Got to finish up some task around here before we head out.  Have a great day and I’ll be back soon.  Pray we’ll stay safe, dry, and patient with each other.

Blessings…..
