The Crockett’s are having their usual great vacation in Florida. This time they have added some unexpected excitement to the mix. Yesterday while Blake and Grayson were playing in the water…Jerod was fishing…a SHARK swam by. Jerod saw it and started yelling for the boys to get out of the water just as Blake saw it…total fear set in quickly! Grayson didn’t see it but reacted to Blake’s excitement and they all but walked on water getting out! They said it was about 10 ft. long and was about 3-4 feet away from where the boys were playing. The place they are staying is right on the water and the others were in the house…getting ready to come down, I think. We are thankful the shark didn’t attack… ’cause there have been some already this year…and the fun continues. They have caught several fish, did some tours of things at the Universal Theme Park, and Dan, Jerod, and Meredith are deep sea fishing today while Tanya, Blake, and Grayson do some other sight seeing things. Memories have definitely been made this year!
A great fall day here today…we’ve had quite a bit of rain this morning…but all is well in Wilmore. Our NEW Bathroom is almost finished…that’ll be a big HURRAY, thank you!!! George had done a great job and he even took the “first” shower in it last night. I’m sure he’ll post some pictures once it’s 100% complete. It’s small, but it’s a second bathroom none the less, and will be very useful and appreciated.  We still keep a to-do list going and have several more projects we want to complete within the next year…I’m saying a year but sooner would be nice!
Kyle called his Papa last evening to tell him he’s been selected to play on the varsity baseball team at his school. That’s quite an honor for a freshman and he’s really excited to have this opportunity…they will be playing on Oct. 22 -23. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to see either game this time, but we’ll sure do our best to catch some of the later ones. Congratulations Kyle!!!
Guess I’ll get myself busy and chase a few more spiders out of the corners while washing off the baseboards…got two rooms remaining. This is never a fun job but has to be done occasionally or I guess the spiders would take over! Have a great rest-of-the-week.
Blessings….
