Today is Sunday

Today we will be going to see Meredith in her play at church and I know she will do an outstanding job.  She has no fear in getting in front of others…she’s a sheep and has a speaking part…and loves doing this sort of activity.

We did something last night that is way out of my comfort zone but was lots of fun.  We went to the FIRST annual ball at the community center.  They taught swing dance lessons before it started and needless to say many of us required much more than they offered last night.  The crowd consisted mainly of young couples, and lots of single girls, from the Asbury College.  Now some of those kids can really swing!  The food was good, also.  There was only about 125 +/- and they had set up for a lot more so maybe next year more will come.

My friend Phyllis Trevathan gave me a book the last time we were in Abilene titled “Daily Splashes of Joy” by Barbara Johnson and I want to share what she said for today….”A thought to help you through the holidays with laughter:  The four Stages of Life…(1)  You believe in Santa Claus (2)  You don’t believe in Santa Claus (3) You are Santa Claus (4) You look like Santa Claus

What other time of year do you sit in front of a dead tree in the living room and eat candy out of you socks?”

Enjoy the day.

Blessings………..
