A sad time for ACU…

No one can ever be prepared for the tragic accident experienced by both faculty, staff, and students of ACU yesterday afternoon.  My heart goes out to the family that will have to say a final goodbye to their daughter, to those that may have permanent pain or suffering, and to all those that will go through so many emotions trying to make sense of this accident.  May you all feel God’s healing hands on you as we will be praying for your healing.  God was not absent from the accident and he certainly won’t be absent from the healing.  God’s blessing to all.

We have had a beautiful fall day today and have hopes of this type of weather hanging around for several more days.  George and I will have the fun of raking up bags and bags of leaves on Monday…while it’s still warm and before the predicted rain arrives mid week.  There’s always a down side to fall and that’s those dreaded leaves that clutter up the gutters and the yard.

We’re looking forward to watching the Alabama = LSU game this evening with the Crockett’s and I’m sure hoping Alabama wins…makes George a happy man when they win.  It will be a good game regardless and since UofL won today, I’m a happy girl.

It won’t be long until we’ll be heading to see the twins along with Scott, Allison, Carter, Lori, Mom, Dad, and Lorin…not sure Lorin, Patsy, or Victoria will be in Texas while we’re there…so we’ll have a busy Thanksgiving week.  I’m thankful we have this time to be with each of them and make some more memories for our “golden” years.  Wait…I think I’m already in my “golden” years!  Oh well, regardless we’ll make some memories … good, bad, or indifferent!

I’m out of anything to write about so I’m getting off here.  Please pray for the ACU family this week.  We also have several friends suffering from cancer, or other ailments, so we are never void of  what to pray for…I just need to do it more often.  Have a wonderful Lord’s day and praise Him for all we are or ever hope to be.

Blessings……..
