I heard them say on TV this morning the dreaded word “SNOW”. It just can’t be time for snow! OK…they said “snow flurries” but the dreaded word was still stated. I’ll just hang on and keep counting the days until we get to see the beach…41 to be exact.
We have had some really beautiful days these last several days…in the low 70’s with lots of sunshine to show off all the wonderful fall colors. Kentucky really is pretty this year and for that we are all so very thankful.
Life continues to be enjoyable for both of us and being retired. and old. is not all bad. George and I seem to never want for things to do…guess part of this is living in a 110 + year old house plus maintaining our guest house…and we still love living in our very small town. It’s so nice to go out to walk and run into people you know, can stop at the local soda fountain and ask about a friend that’s been recently diagnosed with cancer, and just feel so “at home” with everything. God truly has blessed our lives since we’ve moved here.
Monday night we were invited to a YOUNG couple’s home for dinner…we have grandchildren older than they are…it was very nice being with them. They moved into our neighborhood back in the summer so that Craig can attend the Seminary. Since they are here from Florida they feel this Kentucky weather is quite a contrast. Sorry to say…”they ain’t seen nothing yet”!
Guess I need to head to the laundry and maybe crochet a couple of rounds. Have a good day and since the cold is headed our way, I’m thankful I have several good books to read while sitting in my warm house. Love to all.
Blessings…..
