Won’t be long now…

Here it is Wednesday and we leave on Saturday morning to start our trek to Abilene.  We’re so looking forward to seeing all the different family members.  I’ll write about all them once we return home on Monday the 28th.

George continues to plug away at getting the wall to the bathroom completed and we’re now in the  “mudding” and sanding the drywall stage which makes for LOTS of dust…really fine dust…that travels throughout the house.  I hope he’ll have this done by the time we leave so all the dust can settle while we’re gone.  Oh well, the dust will finally all be gone…at least one can hope it will all be gone…but it’s so worth it to have the door to this bath out of the kitchen.

We have had lots of rain since yesterday and it’s to last until tomorrow…I’m thankful we’ve gotten rain and not snow.  The wet leaves can be almost as slick as ice but the knowledge it’s not ice is so reassuring.  The leaves are about all gone, due to the high winds / rain we’ve had the last few days, and now we can look forward to the dreary days of winter.  Once it dries up again we’ll be back to the leaf removal job…not a favorite of mine…for one more time to wrap that up until next fall.  We just thankful we’re healthy enough to do all these jobs and are blessed to have a yard that needs to be raked!

No news so guess I’ll find something to do while George works on the wall.  Have a good rest-of-the-week and pray for our safe travels.

Blessings…….
