What a day we had today!
We went to the elementary school to have lunch with Blake in celebration of his birth. Today was also the schools Christmas dinner…turkey/dressing or ham, plus other goodies…so it was a good lunch. After lunch we went to Blake’s room and had cup cakes that Tanya had made.  They were so cute…looked like a reindeer…and all the kids loved them.  Then we attended Blake’s Christmas musical performance. The kids did a good job and Blake did a great job on his speaking part. He was a little nervous, but he still came through like a pro. After that we came home and got ready to head to Louisville.
Our care group party was a fun time of being with long time friends, enjoying a good meal, good conversations, and the exchanging of our “white elephant” gifts. As usual we got goofy gifts so they will be passed along tomorrow night at the family “white elephant” gift giving event.  I did enjoy being with so many people I consider to be friends that I do really miss.
Now that it’s past midnight…HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY BLAKE!!! You are a precious grandson and I’m so blessed to have you as part of our family. You are such a joy and still quite the comedian when you so desire to be one. Enjoy this 8th year and know I love you lots.
We’re expecting Scott and Allison any minute and looking forward to a great day today. I will be back eventually to tell you all about it…probably not until late Sunday or even Monday.Â
Have a blessed weekend and share God’s love with someone that needs to know you care.
Blessings…….
