The days are flying by and I’ve still got stuff to do to get ready for Florida…like locate all our stuff since we’ve moved to Wilmore. Oh well, what doesn’t go probably won’t even be missed.
Our Monday night Bible study in Louisville was cancelled…due to illness and/or Christmas activities. It has been rescheduled to tomorrow night (Thursday) so we’ll be going there and looking forward to being with the “gang”. They are all so special to us and we love being with them.
Yesterday George and I went to the LightHouse to serve lunch. This is a place where people can go to get a meal…some are homeless but many are just poor and needing food. I enjoyed serving and the people that came were so appreciative. I will be making their lunch on Friday…Chili…and then we’ll be helping to serve it before we come home. There’s about 100-125 that show up so I’ll make enough for about 200 so there will be plenty for second helpings. Before they get to eat, we had a devotional and they all seem to listen to what was being said.  George has done this one other time and said many there yesterday were there before. The lunch was vegetable soup…that was very good…and a peanut butter sandwich. They also got a piece of cake for dessert. I look forward to doing this on a regular basis when we get back from Florida.
Guess I’d better hit the treadmill so will talk again later.
Thankful for the world stopping long enough to celebrate the birth of Jesus! Can you image what it would be like if we didn’t?
