George is doing very well and has had minimal pain for which we are thankful. He has done so much better now that he’s gotten a knee walker and is able to put the crutches aside. For those that are not familiar with a knee walker…it’s sort of like a scooter but you put your knee on it and scoot around wherever you want to go. It also frees up your hands, somewhat, so that you can carry a cup of coffee or a book to your chair. Whoever invented that…thank you, thank you.
We were blessed yesterday to receive some renters for the “blue house” for a week…possibly two weeks. We had blocked out all the days from December 18 – February 3 since we were going to Florida, but we opened it back up once we knew for certain we would not be going this year. Within a day, we booked this family and that’s been a blessing. They are in the area from Alaska visiting “grandma” for the holidays and are thrilled they can all be together. We were able to rent the “blue house” for 138 days this year, our first year, and that far exceeded what we thought we’d do…we predicted, or hoped for, approximately 100 days. We already have 48 days booked for 2012! Keeping up with both houses may get a little tricky for me should we have back-to-back renters, but I’ll manage and do what I can to keep up while George is unavailable. So far that’s not a problem and I’m not opposed to seeking help.
Continue to pray for George’s complete healing and also for our friend Gary…he’s got cancer and starts both chemo and radiation today. Have a great day and I’ll be back soon. Love ya!
Blessings…….
