What a wonderful, Christmas day it is today. The sun is shining bright, the air is crisp, and we are all blessed far more that we ever expected to be. Thanks to everyone that makes this season so special to so many people. Hopefully, we did for those outside the family along with those inside the family!
George and I both got lots of nice things, starting on the 15th, and finished up today. He game me a pair of Dansoko (sp?) shoes which are suppose to be the shoes you can wear and never have tired feet. They are a little too small, so I will exchange them once we get to Florida. I definitely look forward to wearing them…Melissa and Tanya love theirs. Thanks, honey, for spoiling me like you have all these many years. I, also, got some socks, umbrella, candle, slow cooker, book, and some edible items that we’ll both enjoy later. Thanks everyone…you’re all great for just being YOU and I love each of you.
I’ve finally started gathering up what I want to take to Florida. In fact, I have all my clothes packed…George hasn’t started yet…along with other items we use while there…kitchen items, games, etc. I have to stop whatever I’m doing and get whatever comes to mind the minute I think of it, or else it won’t get packed. My mind is only good for about 10 seconds at a time when it comes to remembering things I want to take. Of course, once the van is out of the driveway, I’ll remember everything I’d forgotten. Oh well, the stores have stuff there so I can get more if we really need/want something.
We’re meeting Gary and Dianne for lunch tomorrow at El Chico’s in Lexington. They love their food and think it’s the best Mexican food ever…they’ve never eaten at Aubuleo’s! It will be good seeing them as they are special friends from Louisville.
We’ll be leaving here early Thursday afternoon for Nashville. We don’t want to get to Linda and Jim’s until 4:30 or so since they are both working. We can do stuff here rather than just sit there! We know this will be a fun time since it’s been ages since we’ve spent any time together. We will be attending a wedding in Nashiville on Friday night for Sara Black and Brandon Craddock and looking forward to seeing them and her family.  We’ll head out on Saturday morning for Florida and Linda and Jim will be going to Texas the next day to see the folks. We all seem to stay on the go, don’t we?
My prayer for all reading this blog is that you have enjoyed this special day. Regardless if this is the actual birthday of Jesus is really unimportant. What is important is that we all take the time to stop with the world and rejoice in the fact that Jesus was born. Take each and every opportunity to help the people of the world to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Therefore…HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!!
Blessings……..Â
