Today was a rather busy day doing all the things we have been putting off doing in order to leave tomorrow. But we are finally packed and will be heading for Nashville tomorrow and then the BEACH on Saturday. We did have a good day today in spite of our business…our last day in Wilmore until March…even though we were not able to get everything done we had expected. First, we went into Nicholasville this morning to finally get our drivers license changed to this address. Well, they were closed! Don’t they know the Christmas holiday is over? Oh well, we now have something to do in the morning…just what we wanted since nothing else is going on.
Before we left Nicholasville we went to the UPS store to ship back the shoes and then we headed into Lexington to get another pair of shoes like the ones  George bought me for Christmas. We were successful here… I love the new shoes and they really are very comfortable. Then we went and served lunch at the Lighthouse and they had a FULL house today…over 100 people.  There are some really nice people that both work and eat there. It sure makes me appreciate all I have and how truly blessed we all are. Then we went to El Chico’s to meet Gary and Dianne for lunch. That was lots of fun and we enjoyed our visit. After lunch we showed them Wilmore and our home before they headed back to Louisville. They will be coming to see us in Florida so that’s something to look forward to.
Then we got serious about packing and got it done before we went to dinner with the Crockett’s. That was an experience…I got to pull Blake’s first tooth after we finished eating. He wanted me to do it, but he was rather nervous about the whole ordeal. The permanent tooth is already coming in so he won’t be toothless for long. He’s a brave boy and now is looking forward to the tooth fairy coming tonight!Â
George has all sorts of things for this computer so I can blog as we travel down the interstates. I’ll keep you posted as to where we are once we head for Florida on Saturday.
Pray for our safety and that we will both remain well all the while we are away from home. Stay warm and we’ll do our best not to get to much sun! Love to all reading this blog!
Blessings……Â
