George was put back in regular shoes yesterday and for that we are most thankful. The foot is healing nicely, but is not complete yet…but well on it’s way. Just getting to wear shoes that match is an accomplishment! It’s been a long ordeal…since December 7th…so we’re glad to see healing has happened! We know God had a hand in this healing process along with the skills of Dr. Kirk. Thank you, thank you.
My shoulder has been an issue for me since July and I finally had Dr. Kirk find out what’s going on with that. Well, I have a torn rotator cuff…not a complete tear, thankfully, since that would mean I’d loose mobility in my right arm. For now, I am doing some physical therapy twice a day and will go back in six weeks to see if that has helped. I tell you…growing old is definitely not for sissy’s! My pain comes and goes, so it hasn’t been too bad…guess that’s why it’s gone on for seven months…but I do want it to heal since I am so right handed in everything I do. Let’s continue to pray that the therapy works, but should it not, let’s get on with fixing it so it won’t mess up our summer.
We will be heading to Atoka tomorrow to see Scott, Allison, Turner, and Neyland. We can’t wait to see how those precious boys have grown and changed. Turning two will increase the activities around there place…in preparation for the three’s! Each age is so sweet but you have to have lived through them with the children before you can really appreciate each stage. I’ll have more to tell about the party, etc. next week.
We continue to plug along with the “re-decorating” the inside of our house and it’s really starting to take shape. We still have some very minor things to complete in every room, but we are almost completely done with the mud room, our bedroom, and the kitchen. We are done with George’s office and the “exercise” room off of his office. I want to tackle the dining room next…especially since we’ve sold our dining room table, chairs, and hutch…the room is practically void of furnishings which will make it easier to paint. After that, we’ll repaint the guest bedroom and living room to complete our re-decorating projects. It’s only taken us not quite five years to get this done, so you might say we were not in a big hurray to tackle this. Of course, completely redoing the “blue house” kind of put a damper on us wanting to do this house, too! Oh well, at our age, time is all we have and we will finish this…someday!
Guess I’d better get stuff done around here and pack for our trip to celebrate the birthday boys. Have a great weekend…we certainly will! Love to all!
Blessings….
