Spring storms…

I love the spring weather, beautiful flowers, and sunny days BUT I don’t like the storms that accompany this season.  Yesterday several areas of Kentucky were hit with very damaging tornadoes, high winds, and rain and we’re  ALL getting ready to be blasted again today.  I sure hope we won’t be doing our “Mary Poppins”  impressions  this afternoon!  All the kids are getting out of school two hours early, which is a good thing, as they should be headed for home about the time these storms are scheduled to hit our area.  We’re hearing that Alabama has already been hit and has sustained some damage, along with some of Tennessee, so we’re praying for safety for all areas of these spring storms…especially central Kentucky!

We heard this morning that Ryan took the ACT test a couple of weeks ago and got a “31”, which is amazing!  He hopes to take it again and rack up a perfect 34…regardless, that should be scholarship money, and his Mimi is extremely proud of him.  All our grand kids are so gifted in so many different areas and for that we are thankful and blessed.

Yesterday Lacey had surgery on her knee…had a torn ACL tendon…and should be going home today. She’s doing well but surgery is never fun and always so inconvenient!   She hurt it while roller skating a few months ago and now the fun begins…recovery and complete healing.  Vanessa is with her and will be her private duty nurse for the next couple of weeks so that’s comforting for her…mama’s always the best private duty nurses

Guess I’ll get back to my laundry…had a LARGE family stay at the “blue house” last night and more guest coming in this afternoon.  We have 82 days booked already this year and we are both amazed and thankful.  This has proven to be a fun, and rewarding, part-time job for us!

Have a good weekend and I pray for safety for all of us, healing for those in need, and God’s grace and mercy be showered on each of us.  Love to all!

Blessings……..
